Hornet Golf had a great week. First we attended the Millsap JV Tournament on Monday. Chris, Kendrick and Xavier all shot personal bests. Then Wednesday we attended the Millsap Varsity Tournament. This is one of the toughest courses our kids have played and the wind made it worse, but our kids battled. I didn't have high expectations going into this tournament only for us to get better. We were one of the only 1As there and there were lots of 2,3,4 and even 5A schools there. The tournament was full with 100 boys and 60 girls. I just wanted us to compete. We definitely did that. The girls got third place as a team and the boys barely missed getting third place as well. As always I am proud of these kids.

This week, our very own Sydney Smith had the incredible opportunity to intern with State Representative Wes Virdell! Sydney got an up-close look at how politics come to life during a legislative session. A huge shoutout to Sydney for diving deep into the world of policy-making and government, and for representing our little hometown of Rochelle!

Rochelle Community: We are waiting for Oncor to restore the power to our campus. We will continue to operate on our normal bell schedule. Our newly installed battery back-ups are fully operational and continue to maintain our security system. If you need to reach the school, please call us at 325-456-1087. Dear Senior Class and Parents,
As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to remind everyone of two important upcoming dates for our seniors:
Baccalaureate Service – Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the church. This is a special ceremony to celebrate our seniors, and attendance is expected. We encourage all families to join us for this meaningful occasion.
Senior Graduation – Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM. This is the culmination of years of hard work, and we are excited to celebrate our seniors’ accomplishments. Please be sure to mark this date on your calendars!
Both events are significant milestones, and we kindly ask for the full participation of our senior students. Your attendance at these ceremonies is essential for creating lasting memories and honoring your achievements.
Thank you for your attention to these important dates. We look forward to celebrating with you all soon!
