Hello 5th Grade Band parents,
Due to an unforseen circumstances, I will have to postpone instrument auditions today. My hope is to get them done by the end of the week. I am very proud of each of you so far! Thank you!
Mr Miranda

Rochelle ISD has made a very difficult decision to cancel meet the Hornets. After meeting with Region 15 and Health Department epidemiologist I have decided for the safety of our community, children, faculty that we will not have “Meet the Hornets”. This contradicts what was posted previously and I know that many of us are getting tired of COVID and the impact it has had on our lives, however, I am not willing to risk our school and the education of our children. This is a very difficult decision that has to be made so this post will not support negative comments. If you would like to add supportive comments that would be appreciated all negative information will be removed. For Further concerns or if you would like to know more you can contact Dave Lewis at 325-243-5224 or 325-456-1086 or email dlewis@rochelleisd.net. Thank you for the understanding and supporting of Rochelle ISD. #ChooseRochelle

7th and 8th grade playing Hot Seat as a vocabulary review for English.

Hornet Nation: Rochelle ISD will be hosting Meet the Hornets next Thursday, August 20th, starting at 6:30. This year's event will, of course, look different from prior years - we will not be able to have an ice cream or hot-dog social and we will need to maintain our social distance throughout the event. Coach Cherry and the football team will be accepting white-towel donations at the field house during the event.
In order to help keep an appropriate social distance, we will be calling out students by groups - PeeWee football players and cheerleaders will be first starting at 6:30. Students MUST remain with their families until their activity is called. Each student will run through our tunnel and will head to the home-side fence for a small group photo. Each organization will be represented and have an opportunity to run through the tunnel; students will take photos with their teams. Once a student has had their picture taken with their team, they MUST return to wherever their parents are seated. Sadly, given the circumstances, we will not be able to take our traditional campus-wide photo.
This event is open to parents of participating students only - we are only allowed a specific number of individuals on our field. PeeWee parents (elementary parents) will sit in the visitor stands and middle school and high school parents will sit on the home side. Masks are required per UIL guidelines and individual families must be grouped and must maintain an acceptable social distance from other families.
